Partager "LE FLORIMOND"
Le Florimond, located at 19, avenue de Motte-Piquet in the 7th arrondisement, is a hidden gem in my quartier..."in the same manner of Florimond, the gardener of Claude Monet".....the chef, Pascal, mixes his magic, inspired by the best produce from the local markets, the freshest fish and seasonal products, and secret spice mixtures that are only known by his kitchen....But this cool weather calls for that special meal that Pascal makes with his grandmother's secret recipe... Chou farci, "recette de ma grand-mere" claims Pascal.
The telephone rings; its JP...isn't it right for Chou Farci? Can you make the reservation for us? JP and my husband LOVE Florimond's Chou farci...cabbage stuffed with foie gras, lapin, and truffles...mummm. I quickly call Le Florimond for a reservation, and Bon Chance! we are able to make the last serving at 9h. The evening was more than chilly, the perfect night for some really good chou farci. We entered the restaurant, which is more than an entrance, since the heavy curtain, lets me pretend that I am walking onto a stage, and it is! A great stage for eating one of the best 35€ menus in Paris. But its not just the price or the chou farci that keeps us coming back...searching for an excuse to eat out..its the place, the small intimacy of the restaurant, (only about 10 tables - reservations required) the conviviality of Laurent, (plus his comical ties that always bring a smile to our face) and the rest of the team, the originality of the chef's cooking, and always the big smiles that are bestowed on everyone by the chef at the end of the evening. These are just a a few of the things that keep me coming back to partager another delicious meal with friends. Hope you will partager a meal with someone there soon, but let's keep this our little secret!
